I posted this in the wrong forum yesterday so have posted here also dont know what i was thinking of yesterday (understandably i hope ) Thank-You all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. My dad passed away peacefully & pain free last night (030706) at 10.45pm gmt with mum by his side. It may sound selfish but what a sense of relief as though a very large weight has been lifted. Mum appears ok just now trying to be brave for us but after 42 years it is really hard. Unfortunatley it was 1 hour b4 my daughters 16th birthday, but that was dad through abnd through stubborn to wait. Dads birthday was a day b4 my sons there must be a cosmic link between them all eh?? Anyway again thankyou all so much and i will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers, hopefully if some one reads any of the pain i have endured in the past 3 months it will help them fight through when times are tough or if a memeber of their family feels like dad did. I will check in every so often and maybe have a rant or share a happy thought with you all. Yours Tracy-Ann Aiton T-Ax T-Ax

So sorry to hear of your loss Tracey-ann. Words alone cannot express the way you must be feeling. your mum needs you now. Take care and say hi to us all when you are ready to come back on.

Tracy-Ann, The relief you describe is NOT "selfish"... far from it my dear. You and Mum were there for your Dad 110% until the last moment, so naturally you are mentally and physically drained and in need of much rest just now. Your story has really touched me as you have shared these recent days of personal pain and sadness with such honesty, openness, and dignity. Yes, it will undoubtedly inspire others who are going through the same experience, now or in the future. You, Mum, and all the family will remain in my prayers and I just hope the deep ache in your hearts will be lessened when thoughts and memories of Dad emerge like special gifts whenever comfort is needed most. From my heart, Melanie
