Hi Liz, Isn’t it a bugger eh, it seems like anyone can do what they like to you, but try and get some kind of redress and it all goes haywire. From how you describe you gave a good account of yourself and a show of emotion can do no harm. You must carry on. It seems so wrong that in these days of litigation this can happen.

I finally got to read the charges and was absolutely appalled. Being relatively new, I was unaware of those early circumstances.

Keep up the good fight.

Not a lot Angie. He will be back at work Monday, and his supervision order put in place in the next 28 days.apparently he broke down in court and said he was so devastated by what he had done that he didnt want to be a dentist anymore.I dont expect that will last long now he knows he wriggled off the hook. The whole matter of his fitness to keep his job revolved around robs appointment on May 15th ,which the dentist conveniently cant remember, and as rob is not here to tell us whether or not the dentist told him to go back if the ulcer was not healed, and the dentist didnt make any record of the ulcer or his advice, they decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Pity he didnt show robin the same courtesy.

Well Done Cocky,
The system can be a bitch and the results a waste of time BUT the Dentist OOPS sorry QUACK that did or didn't do the deed will suffer for some time and that would be good in my books
Memories are often treated with despair and we often think that we will soon forget what we have been through and lose the feelings we had or were shared between ourself and the other part of our life. Not true as with young (and I am not saying you are old) people they soon forget the things that were important to them and continue with their life, as we get on we can easily think back on what we lived for and enjoy the memories, as YOU walk through you house and through the streets you will always remember Rob as if he was still there with you.
The little things that you used to do will come back to NOT upset you (well not much)but to keep that love in you. I am not much at comfort writing but think back to the times of my parents and their memory is strong.
AND by the way who would give me grief if you left the Forum and then I"d have no one to spar with, the messages that have passed between you and the Forum members are always fun and also serious to the point where I don't Log off as I don't want to miss out on your choice comments ( God I Waffle on), Since I have been involved with the forum it has assisted with getting me through each day as the first thing in the morning I turn on the Forum and it stays with me all day (thank goodness for Broadband).
Stay with us Liz
Love TREV
PS sorry if this doesn't make much sence as English Grammar was never my best subject.

It's not enough to say how sorry i am for these results. There just isn't any justice that he can get away with mistakes leading to Robs death.
He will have that on his conscience for the rest of his life. & i know that no amount of remorse on his part will help you resolve this.

I wish i had the words that could take away the pain and loss you must feel Liz. But i don't think there is anything we could say.

I do know that all of the advice and support you give helps the lives of so many going through their darkest times. & i also know that Rob wouldn't stand for you living the rest of your life in limbo.
We are here for you, as you have been for so many of us Liz.
My love to you,
Michelle

Hi Liz
I know I look like Trevor in the pic, but it's really me ~ Deborah. I'm on Trevor's computer because I can't be bothered walking to the other (cold) end of the house to post from my computer!
Liz I remember too well how you felt overwhelmed and didn't know how you could go on when Rob died ~ just over a year ago. Look how far you have come and how much you have achieved in that time. You said this fight was the last thing you had to do for him and what a great job you have done in his memory. The result may not be what you want it to be (in relation to the dentist) and although that sucks big time, you may not be able to make any change to the outcome.
You should be proud of your efforts on Rob's behalf, you've done a fantastic job. This dentist may well still be out there practising but I bet he/she is far more thorough and conscientious because of this experience and thanks to your exposure. Consider too (and you will never know of the result) just how many people have been made aware of mouth cancer and the role dentists play in early (or any) diagnosis ~ again as a result of your efforts.
Every dentist who has followed this case will be making damn sure their own name isn't before the public for such an awful reason. You have done a great thing Liz by bringing to public attention the outcome of this dentists unintentional oversight and it's devastating effects.
I bet there are a lot of people who have, as a result of your exposure thought "Shit! I think I'd better check with my dentist about that lump/bump/spot (or whatever) in my mouth. I never thought it might be cancer".
Don't concentrate too much on that dentist, you just may be counselling someone on the forum one day who found their way there as a result of your fight.
You will know when your war is over, Liz. Be sure to rest easy soldier.
Thinking of you all the time and wishing you peace, satisfaction and love from Down Under.
Love
Deborah
