Hi All
I haven't been here for awhile so hi to those who know me, and hello to those who don't!

The 26th November is the 1st birthday of my Dad's new tongue and to mark this important anniversary, we decided to say thank you to the Mouth Cancer Foundation and this amazing forum for all the help and support they gave us when we needed it, especially the stalwarts of this forum - you know who you are - thank you from the bottom of my heart. To this end my eldest daughter is doing a 12 mile sponsored walk to raise money and awareness for MCF.

If you can please support us in this please visit our fundraising page at: www.justgiving.com/grandpas_new_tongue
and please give generously. You guys know as well as I do how much the MCF deserves our support!

Thanks in advance, Sara Smiler

Hi Sara
Congratulations to you all for organising your daughter's walk. I hope it is very successful. Also 'happy birthday' to your Dad!
Your post has a lovely positive tone. That's just great.
Best wishes for many for birthday celebrations.
Cheers from Down Under

Thanks guys, it feels really good to be able to post something positive on here.

Deborah, please say hi to Trevor - I've been popping in here every now and then to check his progress. So sorry to read about the need for yet more treatment, but the way Trev seems to deal with it is truly inspirational - hope you get some good news soon xx

Hagg - cheers, wonder what I could do to celebrate 11 years whenwe get there Big Grin
