I was diagnosed with tongue cancer 3 years ago. My treatment was successful and everything has been ok since. However for nearly 4 months now I have had a bad back and a tender right side of my chest. An x-ray has should signs of shadow in my right lung. I have had blood test which has come back normal and I have no other symtoms. Has anyone got any advice? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Should I let my local hospital deal with the situation or get in touch with my max fax consultant?

Clare,
My Max Fax Consultant told me that if ever I was unsure or worried about symptoms that I should get in touch with him direct or through my GP. I have confidence in my GP and would alway seek his advice first, but that has not always been the case. There can be no harm in making contact with your Max Fax consultant although your current symptoms suggest that he or she might have to refer you to another specialist. DWR |
