Just a general note to apologise to any of you who have been kind enough to support and encourage me. If I have missed repyling it's not disinterest, far from it. I'ts just that I can't sit at a computer screen for long so have never been through all the different topics. I promise to try and do more in future! This is because as well as this annoying little cancer thingy and the barbaric treatment that goes with it, this year I have also had 2 detached retina operations which have caused a cataract which I hope to have fixed in the next month or so. Also I'm having injections for arthritis at the back of the neck. All this means very shortened computer time, which is annoying the hell out of me. This from a man who has never been ill in his life, didn't have to see a doctor for anything for over 25 years and last went in hospital to have tonsils out nearly 60 years ago! People keep telling me how unlucky I am but I've decided that I'm extremely lucky. I've had a lifetime of continuous good health. Surely that's lucky, isn't it?
Good luck and my best wishes to you all. |

HI James,
We certainly have in our lives more to celebrate than we have to regret. Luck I do not believe in - good or bad. Life can be a bitch, but it is folks response to what life throws at them which makes humanity a species in which; on the whole, I am proud, and most folk do more right things than wrong things given the choice. You are going through the mill right now but with courage and pragmitism which is positive. It could be all too easy to give up but we are all born with the will to survive at almost any cost. Keep fighting; keep positive, and you will never be defeated, even by death! May God continue to pour his blessings upon you and all whom you love, Alan. |
