Andy's last chemo

Hi Ananth and cookey, They cancelled Andy's last chemo. It would cause more bad then good they told us. So 2 out of 3. We are strong and think we beat this. The Doc's said because he was not sleeping and coughing too much. I think he has been hit so hard, he has to have beat this. We have the worst week ahead of us with pain. Good thing for drugs. I love your saying Ananth!
We intend to live forever too.
Thanks guys,

Jilly and Andy

Dear Jilly and Andy,
I think that attitude plays a major role in fighting anything bad including cancer - and I felt this particular saying made intentions very clear and am really really very happy that both Andy and you have adpoted the stance. I am sure things will turn out for the better. Its best to find positives out of all the problems and work on them rather then letting things just get overwhelming to an extent that one cannot understand what happening.
Andy - you are going to do fine and Jilly you make sure he does.
Lots of love,
Ananth

Hi Ananth,
It was nice to read your post. Things are going real slow. The swallowing, healing of the throat takes forever. I know it hasn't even been 3 weeks but it feels like a year. Andy's neck is still very swollen. Is that normal? The burn is getting better,
cream really helps. On 8 cans a day for the past 5 days hopefully he will start to gain a bit.

Take care

Jilly

Dear Jilly,
What Andy is experiencing is very normal (keeping the conditions in view!!). A lot of fibrosis forms and could also be a part to the swelling. Its nothing that serious that you have loose sleep on it. I can undesrtand eating and drinking will be torture for some time. Ask the doctor if a local anesthesia (I used "xylocaine spray)could be used and I do image Andy will be able to eat most things and swig down water to help him eat. The weight loss is temperory and he will build up pretty soon. Keep applying the cream as it not only helps decreasing the pain but also helps in reducing the burn marks.
I can symphatise with you regarding the frustration you feel about the time it is taking. I am however glad Andy has you around to take such good care of him.
Take care and lots of love,
Ananth
