Hi everyone

I was rushed to my local hospital at Barnstaple on Wed. 17 Dec. with severe breathlessness. A chest X ray and CT scan showed fluid on the right lung which was drained off on last Tuesday 23rd. Came home Xmas Eve. Also, the hospital transported me to Exeter to keep a pre-arranged appointment and they told me the bad news that I have nodules in
both lungs. The good news is that the cancer is non-aggressive, unlike the mouth tumour I had.

After draining off 2 litres of fluid the breathing relief was enormous but unfortunately it didn't last long. Once again, I am getting very breathless again. I really don't know what to do now as, although I had my own room in Barnstaple hospital, it was soooooo cold and I was on an air bed which was most uncomfortable. I have been sleeping most of the time just to get relief with breathing. If it gets any worse I suppose I don't have much choice but to phone the Doctor again and make sure my warm nightie is ready for Barnstaple hospital.

Love and caring thoughts to you all.

Vinod - loved your jokes. Keep 'em coming - it's good to laugh.

Steph

Hi Steph.

Well at least there was some good Confused news in amongst all the other stuff. But I suppose it was all the "other stuff" that ruined your Christmas.

Keep us all posted Steph because I think we all worry when we don't hear from you.

Here's hoping you don't have to put up any more problems in 2004. I'm sure I won't be the only one praying for you.

Re. Vinod's jokes, I'm deeply jealous the only jokes I know are old and very, very rude. Iwas hoping somebody else would have joined in.

HI Steph, I really do not know what to say only hope you are comfortable and are at home.
It seems like me you just get over one thing and another raises its ugly head.
I will be praying for you (and me ) at Mass tomorrow.
God Bles you and take Care

Hi Merrie Band Cool

I hope you are all able to find something to be happy about - life is like a rose to be appreciated for its beauty and scent despite its thorns. All of us enjoying the rose have also suffered the thorns and had to bite the lip - no exceptions, only of degree. So focus on the beauty, enjoy the scent, smile and be kind to yourselves and others. Smiler

Best wishes for 2004
Vinod :coffee:
