Hi Gang. After 5-6 months of my application at my bank NATWEST i recieved a letter stating i was unaccepted. I rang up and it was because of the Cancer. Iam gutted. Does anyone know of a company that covers Cancer even though Iam 5 1/2 years all clear. I look forward to hearing from anyone

Hello Russ

What sort of insurance are you looking for? You might find his link to "previous posts about insurance" helpful.

I will try and see what else I can find out about insurance for cancer patients.

Best wishes

Hi Russ, I managed to get insurance ok. Premium wasn't too bad and if I remember rightly they wouldn't cover future cancer (no surprise there lol). I'll have to find the paperwork because I cant remember who it's with but I'll get back to you in a day or two. Hagg.

Hi Russ

I wonder whether you ever got your life insurance sorted out? I am a Mortgage Broker and I arrange life insurance also and having suffered from mouth cancer (tongue) almost 2 years ago totally understand your frustration. I would be happy to speak to the medical underwriters at the various life companies I use to find out what is and isn't acceptable. Every case is individually underwritten and the final decision is based on the information contained in your medical records. If you want to explore this further please feel free to e-mail me on louise@1stclassmortgages.net. I am hoping after 5 years I will be able to look at cover again so it would be good for my research!

Glad to hear you're doing well after 5 years. My next check up is on 21st September which will complete my 2 years.

Best Wishes
Louise

Hi Russ

Hope you are well, I have just noticed while checking for holiday insurance that one of the companies also had life insurance for "pre-existing" conditions.
Please find link. Orbis Insurance.

Not sure if they are any good might be worth a try.

You might also want to check out moneysavingexpert.com Martin Lewis site.
