Hi Kelly-Marie
Good new is you had a biopsy and it look clear nothing found. No swollen nodes on the neck? A lot of your symptons could be from 9 months of worry. All in all, whatever has enlarged your tonsils needs to be sorted out. 9 months is a long time can only suggest that you go back to your GP and bend his or her ear ask for a second opinion or the best way forward. If Dr's don't come up with an answer keep on them until they do. I hope I have not worried you to much. Regards Tony |

Kelly-Marie,
If you are still having problems keep going back to your doctor. If you don't go back he will think that you are OK. If the doctor can't fingd the problem he will refer you to an ENT Specialist. |

Hi Kelly- Marie
What did your ENT doctor diagnose? Are your lymph nodes swollen all the time or do they go up and down? Was a biopsy taken from the lymph nodes? I am not a doctor but I have had tonsil cancer, some of things that you mentioned I had, but other I did not. If your tonsil & lymph’s are swollen you could have a whole range of different things apart from cancer, they are apart of the bodies defence system, when I was a kid I had glandular fever (they call it a different name now), it was similar to the symptoms when I was diagnosed with T C. Having said the above it pays to be sure 100%, if you are worried then go back to your GP and tell them that you need a second opinion from a different consultant, don’t take no for an answer and tell your GP how worried you are. If your GP is not being helpful say you will pay for new consultant (from experience the mention of paying seems to bring a faster service) and it will bring you peace of mind. Main thing is do not stop unil you are diagnosed correctly. I hope the above is helpful Regards Tony |
