Hello As a new member and new to forums! I am a bit confused as to how to find old postings. Dian suggested I read her postings to follow her story as it is similar to mine. When I click on her name it seems I can only access recent postings. Also, sometimes when I am reading through an old very interesting thread - it just seems to end and there are no more replies and I am left hanging!! Anyone shed any light on these queries? Cheers Sandy | |||

Sandy, Let's see if I can help. Am sure there are other methods but this works for me. Let's say that you want to look for posts by Dian but don't know what forums or threads she has posted in. If you click on Find and type Dian in the Keyword Search field, you'll get a partial list of her posts. Click on her name (clickable name - underlined and light blue) in any of the posts to access her Member Profile. Once in her MP, scroll down and click View Forum Posts by Dian. You'll get a listing of all her posts. Why there is a difference betweem the Find display and this one, I dunno. Sometimes interesting threads are lost in the shuffle as new posters join asking for information or as more familiar posters post their recent good/bad news. Sometimes a thread is hijacked by someone providing information unrelated to the original post and the thread just stops. Sometimes someone will ask a bazillion questions in one post and the post is ignored. It's maybe just me, but I think that newbies should take a few minutes to go through the appropriate forums to see if their questions have been previously answered. There are lots of reasons why they do this from unfamiliarity with internet message boards to sheer fear of their diagnosis or fear during the waiting period before diagnosis. I just checked my own profile post list and found that the number of posts listed matches the post count on this message I'm currently posting. I hope this makes sense!
