hi everyone
just to let you know how keith got on with his appt at maxillfacial today,it was just a consultation, the lump in his jaw has disapeared altogether so that's good but she wants to do biopsies on the white patches on his cheek and she said he will have dissolvable stitches put in which will take 12-14 days to dissolve.i'm assuming that she is treating as routine as there are no appts been made for the biopsy to be done and the receptionist said we will get a phone call with a date as they are trying to get more clinics put on.i must admit the doctor we saw never had any bedside manner and i could could cheerfully have had a row with her as she was so bloody rude to us and even her nurse was looking down at the ground in embarrassment, don't have a clue what her name is as she never introduced herself to us!but i'll be prepared to do battle the next time if we see her again and she is like that to me and keith.anyway that's the update as promised.take care all love shirl xxx

Hi Shirl,
I can relate to what you are saying about the waiting, waiting waiting for appointments...it's all the uncertainty of it all.
I'm waiting for a biopsy on my tongue because a lumps come up on a scan that I had.I've got to wait a month and don't have it done till March 15th under general anaesthetic.
I've phoned a couple of times to get the appointment brought forward myself. It's really difficult isn't it? Anyway at least the balls started rolling for us and hope that everything turns out to be ok for your husband.
Keep us all updated.
Best Wishes,
David.

Hi Shirl
Well I must admit I cruised right through all the posts before I opened yours. I just didn't want to hear that you had bad news!
Here's hoping things aren't serious but of course now you're back to waiting .........
At least the cow of a dr has given you an avenue to vent your anger!
Keep smiling ~ I will today because I'm very relieved.
Cheers
Deborah

Fingers crossed here too Shirl. It's a shame that some drs cant talk to patients properly, maybe you should point it out to her next time and get her to think a bit. Hagg.

hi all
just to let you know that keith has had his biopsy done.he also had a wisdom tooth taken out at the same time as they thought it was what was causing the swelling in his jaw.i felt really sorry for him when he came out as he had to have about 20 jabs for the pain.when they went to take the tooth out there was an abscess underneath it and it was just not numbed enough and even with all the jabs it was still painful.i thought he was going to keel over when he came out.the biopsy was fine and he never felt a thing,he has 4 stitches in the area but he is having no pain whatsoever.he gets the results on april the 9th.he saw the same doctor and he said she was totally different to him this time joking with him etc, maybe we caught her on a bad day on the first visit.hope everyone is ok on here.take care love shirl xxx
