First of all, I'm glad to come across this forums in hopes of allaying my fears. My dentist is away this whole week and will only be back next week. I'm 31 years old and quit smoking a year ago (smoked for a long time). I have infant twin boys which makes me all the more scared (you know, if this is something bad).

I have this BAD habit of nibbling and biting my lower lip (right side) when I'm stressed or bored. Last Saturday I bit my lip pretty hard that it bled. My lips were swollen really bad for 3-4 days (inner right side). My lips are still a little swollen now but I'm worried about the two lumps underneath the lip. They are not exactly visible but can only be felt when I examine my lip with my fingers. The thing is that I've only noticed this after the lip biting incident and "may" have been there all along. They're not painful at all. Also, my lip seem to have a loose skin (maybe from biting-or something else which I HOPE NOT) that seems to obvious from the outside when I open my mouth.

Please, please anyone there please help?

Hi mbmama, firstly, welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what it is and wouldn't want to guess but there are probably numerous things that this could be and not all of them really nasty. Try not to freak out until you've seen your dentist. Hopefully someone else on the forum might be able to help you more than me. Hagg.
