Only got onto MCF site today so it is great to hear you are doing well Sharifah. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Hello again:
Just updated my blog. I am feeling really good now. The operation went well and the doctor does not foresee any problem. The only thing is that I am still struggling with the phlegm and drooling.

But I guess this is just temporary. Thank you so much for all your kind thoughts and well wishes. You are all constantly on my mind. We are all in the same boat fighting the same battle. Please hang in there everyone.

Can't wait to be home with my loved ones and eat again.

Bye, for now.

Sharifah

Hi Sharifah

have just been catching up on your blog and wondered if you are out of hospital yet and how you are doing?

Hello Gwyn

Just updated my blog and included a cute picture of mine too!

I am still in the hospital. There is a patch of dead cells on my flab tongue which sort of traps milk residue. So, my doctor still doesn't allow me to take any food except milk. I can only go home when the dead cells come off.

This morning the doctor came and checked my tongue. He said that it looks like the patch is coming off maybe in a couple of days. So, I should be home soon.

Hello Sharifah

Lovely pictures!

Glad to hear things are improving. Bet you are really looking forward to getting home.

I enjoyed hearing about the books you read. I am usually a great reader and had a pile of books ready for when I went into hospital but didn't manage a word for the eight days I was in!

Love
Gwyn xx

Hei guys,

I am home now. However, still got to survive on liquids. The doc said that they managed to get a clear margin in the operation.

I have an appointment with the oncologist on the 22 sept and will start on the rt right away.

Looks like I'm going to need more books.

Love
Sharifah

Hi Sharifah,

An odd thing happened to the link to your blog on today's message - it shows hiduplame which gives an error message. It's supposed to be hiduplama (a on the end) and that takes me to the blog. Weird, huh?

I loved The Kite Runner but enjoyed Hosseini's second book even more.

A Thousand Splendid Suns

Where the first book's main characters were male, this book's are primarily female. After reading it, I told people it was the best book I'd read in ten years - and I'm a reader. It was an emotional read as well.

Did you feel the Indonesian earthquake at all? I don't know where in Indonesia the epicenter was located and that's a far-flung country so I guess it's possible to be totally unaware it occurred. We Californians are very earthquake conscious!

Thanks everybody for your kind thoughts. Its really a great feeling waking up in the morning, get online and realise that there are great people out there who wish you well.

Mimi, sorry, thats my mistake. You are right, hiduplama. Do you know what that means? It means long life. I purposely chose that name because thats what I intend to have- a very long life.

Thanks again for the info about the book. I hope I will be able to get my hands on it before I go for another hospital vacation..hahaha

No, I didn't feel the earthquake at all. Ya, I know about the quakes in California. I guess I would be just as conscious if I were there, too!

Bye, for now.
