Dear David

Glad you are getting some help at last.Despite the fact that rob and i were told hundreds of times that the post tx would be the worst i dont think either of us really believed it could be as bad as it has been. Now 5 weeks after Radiotherapy,Rob is still losing weight and has had his Fentanyl patch increased yet again to 100mcgs.Every time it looks like a turning point has been reached another wall appears. We too have to go back to the hospital in three weeks so lets hope we all have better news.

Love Liz.

The tube will be for the best guys.
You cant start to improve until you get adequate nutrition!

Liz, keep your head up. It's hard to see right now but things WILL get there! It's so disheartening when you're done with treatment and things get worse before they get any better.
There were moments after treatment when i wanted to go to sleep and never wake up!
When i was admtted to hospital at the end of feb i didn't think i'd EVER get my life back. But it happened!

Thinking of all of you!
Michelle

Hi Guys

Tube came out at 7pm last night after being sick

Spoke to our consultant this morning (they always have take time to call you back

No asperating on x-ray
said if i wanted to return to hospital to have the nasal tube fitted again i can after they spoke to the dietician

said to forget food and have 5 fortisips per day none after 7pm as my swallowing decreases fortisips plus calogen =just over 1900 cals

the consultant thought the tube would come out over my prior surgery to my throat and the coughing up of phelgm,it was not a supprise

Dietician oming to the house on Friday

If the do get really worried then they will consider the peg as a last resort

Today they said they will work with us to do whatever is in the best interests for us in their words we here for You

Liz rob will improve im the worst for thinking i am not but i have have kept a diary for the last 2 weeks, and i can see small improvements .Rob is proberly like me wants to see big improvements quickly especially after being so active
My consultants said its harder when you fit and active. best wishes to you and Rob keep me informed of his progress.

Chelle

Thanks again its appriciated
