:footinmouth: All I seem to get from the Doctors when I ask a question, is everyone is different; why are you not told at the treatment will really be painful, why do they say, """We don't want you to loose too much weight, why are they so secretive about everything ? Tube up the nostril, it doesn't hurt, hey ! push it up yours ans see how it feels!!! etc

AMEM GARANCE:::!!!!! I could not agree with anyone more than you at this point. That DAMM tube in the nose was without a doubt the most painful thing!! I would have loved to have been able to shove that DAMM thing up a few noses while I was in the hospital. I had never had one before and do not care to ever have another one in this lifetime. But they do not tell us this. Oh no this is one of the little suprises you get at the end. I also didn't know I was getting a trache either. That I might add I still have 9 months later...I hate this DAMM thing as well. I just cannot believe how they can look you in the eye and leave out so much of this. HOW can they do this? I couldn't do it. No way. But then I can't tell a story without telling the WHOLE story, LOL. This disease is bad enough without them leaving out major things like PAIN. And yes we are all different, But not to pain. A nail in my foot is going to hurt. There will be pain. A nail in your foot is going to hurt. There will be pain. All I asked my TEAM of doctors to do, was TELL ME LIKE IT IS, I DON'T WANT ANY SUPRISES. LOL,LOL,LOL. What a JOKE that was. I had no clue, none. I still don't on some of it. Like my right arm...I had no idea what happened to it. I thought I had done something to it...So I talked to my doctor about it and he so calmly said, OH WE HAD TO REMOVE A MAJOR VIEN!!!! I didn't NEED to know this! I cannot raise my arm up at all. Yes this is painful. Yes it is a problem since I cannot put a blouse on without major difficulty. THIS IS OUR BODIES,,AREN'T THEY? Not when it comes to this......I am with you on this one---100%----. Thanks for listening...Always Vicki Lynn

Cool Thinking of you in this grey weather, re arms, I was told that I would not be able to lift my right arm as they would have sectioned the nerves, the first thing I did when I woke after the op was raise my arm; then I was greeted with, we don't expect you to be able to talk, they really know how to cheer you up or is it incase they make a botch of the Op and want to be sure to cover themselves. Sounds as though you have really been trawled though purgatory and back via hell. Just got an order from Bergdorf Goodman, so I am cheered up a bit. Hugs Garance XXX Wink
