Paul, is that really you?

Can't help you re. PEP scan.

You've no idea how worried we've all been about you.

Have you been on holiday - or something you don't want to tellus about

Hello Paul

Where u been? Welcome back Smiler .

" ...the PET Scan can show where tumor cells are growing, which helps your doctor determine the best course of treatment. The PET scan can accurately detect the cancer and see how far it may have spread. Imaging with PET is also critical to looking for the return of the cancer. In many patients with head and neck cancers, a mass may remain after treatment. The mass itself may be on CT scan, but CT cannot determine if the tumor has been successfully treated or if residual cancer remains that must be treated. PET can be used to image tumor response to therapy and to detect recurrence in successfully treated lesions. Post surgery and other treatments, PET is extremely important to monitor to see if the cancer cells have returned and if treatment should be re-started. "
For more information follow the link given.

Let us know what's been happening.

Best wishes
Vinod :coffee:

Welcome back Paul

To echo Pikeman's words, we've been concerned about you. Last we heard you were awaiting the result of another biopsy. So what was the result?

Do keep us informed Paul - WE DO CARE.

Thanks Vinod for enlightening us on PET scans - I had no idea what they were. :blockhead:
Perhaps they'll give me one after radiotherapy.

Kindest thoughts. Take care Paul.

THANKYOU all for being concerned I have been away and my computer broke down and i succumed to buying a new one could not be bothered with all the hastle. I am glad to say I am well. I am now waiting to see what they are going to do about my teeth as they are ALL decaying due to the Radiotheraphy and the Hospital ( Dr Kalavaras) is very concerned thay if they take them out I will get an infection in the bone and maybe they will not heal. I must say the Maxiollfacial at UCL are really goood to me and always put my best interest before anything else. When I go there it may have been quite a few days since I have been out usually it is to one appointment or another the rest of the time I stay in so it is nice to be greeted by smiling staff when I go there. My best whishes to all of you inculding Dr V have a good evening.I had a letter on my car windscreen today it said "parking fine" I thought that was nice of them to notice how good I drive Big Grin (joke)
hope to hear from you guys soon.

Hi Paul, good to hear you sounding a bit more cheerful.

Speaking from ignorance I would have thought it best for all your teeth to be removed. Surely there's a pretty good chance of you getting an infection from your rotting teeth. Anyway I'n the professuinals will give you their best attention.

I knew that poseur wagon of yours would draw attention - eventually.

Keep smiling Big Grin
