hi, i have just found a lump in the back of my mouth. right next to my uvula (spelling?). i looked at it in the mirror, and saw that it was white. i thought it might be an ulser or something, so i washed out with salt water. it seems to have decreased in size, but im not sure. do you think this could be cancer? im really scared at the possibility of that, and the fact that it was white inflamed my fears. your help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

John

Hi John

It is not possible to say what the lump is. It could be a number of things, not necessarily a mouth cancer. You need to go and see your doctor or dentist to have it checked out. Don't ignore it.

Best wishes
