I have no idea what goes on in my body as from being told the cancer had returned suddenly they find no trace of it. They have no answers for it and I have been trying my very best to get some. Anyway, it seems some how my body is rejuvenating its self and it has left me as very often without answers.

The good that has come of it it they are putting my through lazer to create two passages - food and air. They are extremely confident though I would like to also be the same but rather wait. If all goes well I should be talking, eating, breathing, smelling totaly normaly as I would pre 2000 when the cancer struck. It will also be the first on a patient getting bsck to total normalcy and am sure the- the medical teams and the media are going to make it big time gaga. As it is the created quite a stir with the 15 minutes programme, which ws a prelude of the actual firm to be shown at th end of this month or a bit later. The have managed to get hold of all the surgereies live as they happened as I understand most surgeons/doctors prefer to do do in case of any future problems both in terms of medically as well as for reference. This mean the mdedia has access to all the blood and gory surgeries and will and are edititng them.I am pretty sure there will be a bcck lash but then its expected to how much the editing they manage to do. The Indian people are a pretty queezy and will not take it lightly - but then it will be accepted as it will show what cancer can do to one person. I am sure they will cut done on the remarks soon enough. The fil will be telecast live by both CNN (worldwide) and CNN_IBN(In India).. I will give the details in the case anyone is interested.

Well I guess thats all for now,
Till later,
regards,
Ananth

Ananth, that is just fantastic news for you and your family! Congradulations! You all must be thrilled!

Also, to think that you may finally be able to eat again is amazing! Best of luck to you in this regards. It's only been just over a year for me without being able to eat, but it's been a lifetime for you! I'm so happy for you!

Let us all know when the film will be on cnn. I will most certainly want to see it!

Good Luck, Mary

Anath......it's about time we heard from you and your post made me cry and I don't cry easily. I'm so happy for you and the family. I only had my feeding tube for 2 years and 2 months and the good thing was that I live alone because during that time I was a witch with a capital B. Somehow we do get through things and some things take longer for some people than others. I have to tell you what happened. My throat was and is after 3 1/2 years still very tight and hard swallowing and I had a horrible time with the choking but maybe this will help someone with the same problem. About 6 weeks ago I was eating rice with butter and it was sooooo good after not having any for over three years.....well a rice grain got stuck and the pain was so bad that I thought I was having a heart attact. The same thing happened two days later but much worse, so off to the doctor who sent me to a gastro man and he said that he would open my esophagus and maybe it would help. Truthfully my thought was yeah right but after all that I had been through what the heck. After it was done the gastro doctor took my hand and said he was sorry but he could only open it a slight amount and he didn't think that it would help and to talk to the original surgeon about it. I told him that something is better than nothing and guess what now I can eat almost anything and havn't choked since. I'm really thrilled. So Anath keep us informed and don't stay away so long. Joan P.

Hi...........after reading my post I realized that I had worded it wrong. What I meant to say was that the doctor stretched my esophagus not that he opened it. Sorry Joan P.
