HI my husband of 26yrs was diagnosed with larynx cancer. On Aug 12, 2003 he seent the ENT due to his horaness of over a year. THe ENT used as scope and stated surgery needs to be done ASAP.. ON the 15th of Aug 2003 he had the surgery. IT was Stage 1 T-1 cell. At the time and still to this day we have no insurance. SO needless to say he did not have his radaition therapy.. WE also do not qualify or any assistance in the State of Fla. We have too much in Assets.

NOW here is the sad part, he was laid off of work and of course his horaness is back. Just tonite he stated to me that it hurts when he swallows and when he is laying down sleeping it feels as if he is chocking. What can I do. He dont want to see the doctor for help and we have no money as well. Please let me know if the cancer has come back which I already have and ideal that it has. or what I can do to help him thank you email at dperger@aol.com

It is possible that the surgery got all the cancer, so we can hope that it is so. Your husband should at least have his throat checked out again. If any treatment required is costly, you will both need to make some hard choices, but at least they will be informed choices. Best of luck - let's hope it is no more than a throat infection, but he needs to get it checked out.
