I look in the mirror and what do I see? A very lucky person staring at me. Each scar is a jewel, every stitch is a gem, Sewn in by my angels - thank God for them! They took out my cancer and so made me well, Yes, I look different - but what the hell! I may now talk funny and get food on my chin, But to those who love me it's never a sin. Strangers may stare, but hey what the heck, I sure don't need another pain in the neck. I look in the mirror and what do I see? A very important person looking back at me. So treasure those jewels - they cost too much to hide, Thank God - be grateful...and wear them with pride! brendasob.blogspot.com/

That's brilliant Brenda. Think it deserves publishing!

Brenda You are very talented I have printed this poem off alongside a picture of me (now) and pinned it on my door with pride. Thank you for this poem, I have read it in a time that I really needed it.

Dear Sue and Clare Thank you for your kind words and it's pleasing to know that you can identify with your cup being half full (the half empty poem is obviously "tongue in cheek" - pun!) brendasob.blogspot.com/
