Hello asdf8456 I don't think you have a mouth cancer but I would advise you to see your dentist (or doctor) for an opinion as I can't make a diagnosis over the internet. Let us know how you get on. I haven't gone to the docotors yet and the two lumps on the roof of my mouth are still there. I have been having a sore throat lately like the back of my mouth is dry and i have a small lump in the back of my mouth. My parents are reluctant to send me to the doctors yet so I don't know what to do.

Good Morning asdf, You say "I don't know what to do" may I suggest that one thing you should do is to take note of what Dr. Joshi says,he is a well qualified professional with a lot of experience. Lumps and bumps appear in the mouth from time to time and for the most part they are of little consequence and clear up without treatment within a couple of weeks, if they don't clear in three weeks you should see your dentist or doctor, let us know how you get on. Hi asdf, One positive thing you can do if you are feeling concerned is to stop smoking altogether. You say that you rarely smoke, so you are unlikely to be adicted to the nicotine yet, so please stop whilst it is fairly easy. I started smoking at 16, to be 'cool' and to fit in with my friends. At sixteen you feel you are invincible, and scare stories about the side effects of smoking don't really apply to you. I stopped smoking after the birth of my son when I was 28. 17 years later when I was 45 I was diagnosed with cancer of the Tonsil. I have a very good prognosis, but I wish I could go back and do it differently. Knowing how it feels to hear a consultant tell you that he's sorry to have to tell you that the lump they removed was carcinogenic is an experience I would rather not have had. Apart from that follow the advice of Dr Joshi. He is a very well qualified and experienced Doctor. Talk to your parents about your concerns. I'm sure that if you let them know how worried you are they will let you see a doctor.
