Has anyone managed to get holiday insurance recently? We have just been turned down by Marks and Spencers our usual insurer as my husband was only diagnosed with cancer of the tonsil last Summer and his treatment completed in October. I am all set to work my way through the lists of "helpful" insurers but just wondered what sort of additional premiums are charged (assuming I can find cover)

Try:www.meditravelcover.com or www.freedominsure.co.uk. I havent tried them myself as we are not planning a holiday (yet!) but they have been recommended by friends on another website.Hope this helps.

I will also give them a try as we are off to St Kitts in March and had only been talking about holiday insurance today. Thanks.

Thanks for that. We really would like to have a holiday especially as we had to cancel ours just three weeks before we were due to go last year!

Hello Plodder

I met a director of Medi Travelcover Ltd at the Britain against Cancer conference at the end of November last year and was impressed by what they know about the insurance needs of cancer patients. They only do insurance for cancer patients. If they don't think you should travel abroad, they will advise you to stay local.

Best wishes
