Oh, Victor, you made it!
What a crapulous experience it has been. I remember that early on you said you have a two-year-old child (a son?) and I imagine that you focused on making it through this hell for him/her as well as for yourself. I read that the three weeks after the final RT are the worst and perhaps that's what you're going through. You continue to 'cook.' Once you're finished with treatment after having all those people hovering over you, you're left alone to cope until your next appointment, three or more weeks away. I too felt abandoned, but I had stuff to do so I fumbled through. I imagine you're eager to return to Costa Rica and your life there. I wish you well, buddy, and wish I could wave that wand over you. It was the first 2 weeks for me Victor - and then there is the long road to recovery. I am 4 months post and have just joined a gym! There is light at the end of the tunnel!!

Hi Victor
Glad you have made it through! Yes it sometimes seems to get worse before it gets better when treatment stops. My son's worst ever week was the week following the end of his treatment. Things do pick up quickly though so hang on in there. Love Mum x |

Hi Victor
Good news that you have made it through the treatments - something that had to be done, however horrible. You have been really strong. Now you need to rest and take care of yourself. Hope you start to feel better very soon. Thinking of you Gwyn x |
