Hi Vicki Lynn, I was reading through posts about your story and I noticed that you too had trouble posting your picture! Someone said to e-mail a picture to Krishan and they would take care of it. Who is Krishan and how can I e-mail them? I was going to put my husbands picture on here but I couldn't figure it out either!

I am so sorry for all you have been through. You are such a strong lady! Since "meeting" you I have thought about some of the extra complications a woman might have when having a feeding tube. Such as having to still cook for others! I feel guilty if my husband has to pour a bowl of cereal for the kids! He doesn't have a problem with it but I hate to ask him to do something concerning food.

So you are not married and you are having to support yourself alone? I can't even imagine! The radiation made Shannon so sick last summer I can't imagine him taking care of himself. He went through about a week (while waiting for the PEG tube) of not eating or drinking. He did get fluids via IV. Other than that I had to watch him starve! He even worked the first couple of days that week. I begged him to take off. Finally, he had to. That was only 2 weeks into the radiation! That stuff is horrible. I can't believe your cancer came back! Oh, that scares me. We haven't even considered that. I don't see how anything could survive the radiation. During your first bout with cancer I noticed you said you didn't have radiation or chemotherapy. Have the doctors said that might be why it came back?

There is so much confusing information concerning the treatment of cancer. Shannon's doctor said for squamous cell cancer of the tonsil they do radiation, then I have come across other people who had chemo. So how do they decide who gets what treatment? Just a rhetorical question. It is just frustrating. Then the situation with Shannon's esophagus scarring shut. I don't understand why it happened!

Sorry, I just get so frustrated when thinking about all that Shannon has gone through!

Thank you for being here and your willingness to share!

Michelle
