FINALLY had my 2nd follow-up. They apologised for me getting 'lost in the system' apparently 'it sometimes happens to the patients that are doing well' Roll Eyes
All clear up the nose Big Grin But GEEZE did that hurt today! He went in about 12" Eeker
So all clear. Only one little patch of white scar tissue, i'd expect from the original tumour site?? He asked if i'd expelled much crusty stuff eeew. But luckily i have enoiugh mucous to make it not too crusty-like. He was very impressed with how i've healed. Said i was lucky with my taste buds.
The bad news however, is he's dissapointed with the improvement to the nerve damage. & suspects i'll always have some numbness now Frowner But it should still improve a little *sigh*.
MacMillan nurses want me to help them produce a new PEG feeding leaflet . & i also gave a shout to this forum cuz of all the great advice.
So thats me done for 2 months!

Hi Chelle

Only your 2nd follow up? How long ago was your op? Sounds like good news overall.
I'm at 11 months from my op now, just had another of my 2-monthly checks (they slipped a month somehow...)

All clear, they given up with the nasal torture now & just look down my throat. Consultant mentioned that the biggest risk of recurrence is over the first 24 months, so nearly half way through.

Hi Michelle,
Great to hear your news and that you are doing well. I stopped going to any hospital or meeting up with any doctor for the last three years. I have come to the conclusion that if something has to come around, try as much - that something will come around.
Love,
Ananth
