Hi all,

Well I have been home a week now and I am coping well. Been doing bits in the garden, ironing, and a friend came round and helped me clean (no-one had been in the house for a month so it was a bit grubby). Only Billy (my eldest) is home all the time as my car failed it's MOT so is off the road and I can't get Jack down to my Mum's for school.Jack is here Tuesday and Thursday evenings and every other weekend (he is at his dads on the other). Although I hope to get my car fixed soon. It failed on emmissions, suspension and break disc - useually I would get very stressed out over my car failing it's MOT - but this year I can put it in perspective! Although it is frustrating not being able to get around - luckily I have vey good family and friends who are taxing me about!

GeekYAY! Geek The musosis has stopped (big round of applause please). 5 weeks post treatment and life is so much better! I hated it. This morning my mouth just seemed to dry out.... And I started swallowing properly today! I had an appointment with a speech therapist who was really pleased with how far I could open my mouth and my drinking of water (first time today). She gave me some exercises which I may need to do for a year and wants me to try eating yoghurts and soup. I really feel like I am turning a corner.

I have also started training for the MCF walk and am off for a walk round one of Milton Keynes' many lakes this evening. This will be after going to see one of my Scout leaders be presented with a 25 years of service certificate. Ahh more normal stuff! This weekend I am cooking a BBQ for the Scouts after "Challenge MK" - I am really looking forward to getting involved again and hope to camp with them at the end of next month. This depends on whether I am still taking meds through the night.

Life is good. Cool

Love Chloex

Good news Chloe,
You'll start to notice improvements in leaps and bounds now that things are progressing.
For every low point you can have faith that there will be a high point round the corner!
I hope things continue to progress.
All the best,
Michelle
