Hello, Just to give a bit of backround. I am a 34yrs old married female who is due for baby #2 in 2 weeks. I quit smoking about 6 years ago. For over a month, I have had a sore throat. I have not recently had a cold. I feel a lump when I swallow at the bottom of my palate in the soft part of my throat on the left hand side. I seen the doctor about 2 weeks ago and he did a throat swab for infection which came out negative. Recently the back of my tongue feels numb and I feel a bit of burnging. A few days ago, I noticed white bumps on the back of my tongue. (I think these are my taste buds) I had another appt. with doctor and he said it does not look like infection. He said that he doesn't think cancer. He advised that he will refer me to an ENT after I have the baby. I have had 3 episodes of my vision skipping in the last 3 weeks or so..It seems like my peripheral vision skips for about 30 minutes. Last night I went to bed in tears because this is really scaring me. I don't want to talk to anybody about it because I don't want to scare them. I am having increasing problems swallowing. Can you pls advice on what this could be. Thanks so much. Joanne

Also, both sides of my neck are feeling very tender. Directly underneath my ears. Joanne

I would greatly appreciate any input you can give me. I am almost thinking of having asking my midwife to induce me so I can get tests done and see an ENT specialist. Joanne
