Hi All,

Well-discharged last week, after a much shorter stay this time, weeks instead of months thank goodness.

Had dead and diseased bone and metal plate removed. I now have a jelly fish jaw on one side and obvioulsly whole jaw out of line now. Surgeon freed the right side of my lower lip where it had been pulled out of shape last time, so now I can at least shut my gob now. (How many of you are going to disagree with that one I wonder Big Grin) At least I can controll the drooling a little bit better. A bit fed up that he did/could not even up my boobs this time, so still am "one hung low". Bet all you guys thought it was your perogative eh!!! Footinmouth

Still have twenty odd stitches on the of my face(was more, up my chin and lip but took them out cause they were pulling on scar tissue and nerves and driving me insane) get the rest out next week. Had to be left in for so long because initiall RT treatment had destroyed tissue healing. Still a load inside too, they are taking sooooo long to dissolve and are as sore as hell. Got topical and antibiotic treatment for the MRSA, so waiting for for swab results to see if that has gone too. (Had a private room because of it, bliss!)

Truth is I am feeling (f'in) fantastic. So much better this time, my face feels great inspite of the stitches.

Guess what I have done this week? Only started college!!! A two year, full time course on Complimentary Health Therapy. Yeah, physically I'm a bit knackered, but mentally I'm elated.
Don't know what my consultant is going to say next week when I see him but what the hell. I'll do my very best and see how it goes.

Well great to be back, talk to you all again soon.

SusieR

Susie,
keep on trucking!
So glad you are going to college. You need to keep busy and have a goal.
I certainly tried to keep my mind off being a patient. Keep your personality and your

Angie, Anne, Dave, Chelle, Ananth Wink, Alan,

What can I say except,
Thanks for a wonderful welcome back.

You guys and everyone on the site might like to know too, that you all are part of the inspiration for me going to college. The love, support, advice and friendship since I first joined last year have really given me the help and courage I have needed to fight this damn thing we are all dealing with.
I know I still have to finish RT and have cosmetic surgery to go through too and as we all know, thats only if everything goes to plan and there are no futher setbacks but I'm going to try my very best to pass this course for all off us and hope it shows new people joining us that there can be light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm sure that during it I'll be able to cheer us up with some of my stories too.

Watch this space Big Grin

Love SusieR XX

Hi SusieR
Well I just got out of Hospital from getting an infection in the Gut and was Vomiting and Crapping, I was given a private room with a personel RN and all. They pumped me full of drugs to combat it and tehn more fore pain Fentanyl patches and Oxycodone then more Fentanyl injected into a canulla thingy, Man I was out to it. They kept me on a drip of SalineSolution for 2 days as they thought I was dehighdrated, anyway after 3 days of the RAH I came home and now if I can stay awake I'll try to catch up on my friends SOOOO welcome back SusieR and glad to hear that you are coping with your latest drama, Hang in there and we will be thinking of you
Love Trev

Dearest Susie,
I loved that wink!! and am so glad to see you back and so positive. I go with what Alan has to say and like to add that courage brings about guts to go and get anything done without seeing failure. Failure is not an option. You are a wonderful person and I know for certain every thing to go will go off smoothly.
