Hi! All,
What is this "pick on pooor little Trev" ??? Razzer
R/T 19, 10 to go but I am now really needing Deb to support me to and from the treatment suite. I told you that they removed my drain and just put a dressing over the hole, well this morning I awoke to a wet leg and found the hole had leaked and had got past the dressing so to the rescue came Deb and put on another dressing which was good until we got home from treatment and the dressing was filling up, so we put a new Stoma Bag over the hole (without the tube I hope it's alright)and we will see if the hole drains into the bag or heals up a lot quicker, FUN HUH.
Deb's knee gave way on her and she is in a lot of pain but still manages to look after me (one day I'll tell her that there was nothing wrong with me and I only wanted to wear her out) Big Grin
I'd love to put some weight on but it just seems to be dropping of. I thought of going to Jenny Craig with before and after photos and tell them I can guarentee a weight loss program and it won't cost you much in money LOL
I'LL BE BACK
TREV

Hi! Cx,
Yes I lost 54 kgs and went from a size 127 in jeans to a size 87, and from4xL shirts to L, but my skin looks like it belongs to someone else, I hope to be able to get back to gym and work(to pay for it) after my treatment finishes and a bit.

Hi! All
Well thats R/T 20 over and done with, and I am going away for the long weekend (Bank Holiday) down south to a lovely Beach side house of my neice's, I will probably do the same as I am here and that is Sleep but it will be nice having a change of environment, it's actually my sisters 70th birthday so the whole family of siblings will be there (makes me tired already).
Debs knee is still not much good but she won't give in. I hope all of you have a restful and pleasant weekend.
I'LL BE BACK

Hi! All,
What a glorious weekend the temperature hovered around 27degrees C and the sun was shining beautifully, the party at my Nieces was just right with heaps of food being served all day, I even had some (well quite a few) sausage rolls dipped in tomato sauce & a Greek dip that was VERY garlicy and creamy, however by the end of the day I was feeling FULL and a little jaded, we stayed that night in a Beach House with my brother and his wife and family a treat that was with breakfast being prepared for us in the morning. Later that morning we took of to the Mouth of the Murray River (which at the present is very low because of the climate change) and then off for a long walk of which I could only manage a short distance. BBQ that afternoon at my sisters house and then to bed BOY was I buggered. Monday turned into a very cold day (for me) and we ventured home .
OK enough is enough with the travel log.
R/T 21 and 7 to go (they are upping the last ones so there is less days of treatment) we were informed that the worst was to come and boy I remember last year when I slept 16 hours a day, well thats how I am feeling now, came home from treatment and slept for 3 and a half hours. Hope all is well with you all.
I'LL BE BACK

Glorous to hear you had a good time Trev. I shouldn't worry about the sleep...as my old mum always says 'Dr Sleep is the best healer'

Glad you had a good time Trev. I wish we had decent summers here, riding bikes in the rain nearly all year round is crap.
Glad your RT is nearly over. Hagg.

Hi! All,
R/T 22 & 23 came and went with nothing apart from total fatigue and back and belly ache's BUT only 5 to go and then the Doc reckons 4 to 6 weeks of rehab and I'll be back to "normal", can't wait to get there as I am determind to get back to work ASAP and get some REAL money coming in(this is my wish).
Hagg, I would love to take the rain away from you for over here as we are still in a drought and our September rainfall was only 10% off what we should have had and we haven't had a proper rain for 5 years to keep our supplies up to scratch(stop wingeing Trev). But we did have a good time and for once I wasn't rugged up during the day(winge, winge, winge).
Angie, If Deb had to dance with me I would have had to hang on her all the time so I saved her the pain and suffering by not asking her up(Cool). And sleep so much that the day is gone and nothing is done and I don't like Deb doing everthing.
Chloe, A PJ party sounds like fun as long as I didn't have to wear mine, I was born in mine there so old that they are all creased and wrinkled, and yes no fat on my body has sent my insulation out the door and in comes the ice, but it is still nice to lose weight as I have lost 54kgs(120lbs).

Trev, I'm so happy you are almost through this. I had R/T and Cisplatin chemotherapy which sounds pretty similar to what you are having. I don't want to scare you ,but in my case, a lot of the pain from the radiation burns came after the radiation treatments were finished. About 2 weeks after my last treatment, the pain in my mouth was excruciating. I'm telling you this because no one told me it would be that bad. BUT, I seem to had had an especially painful time from the radiation, more than is typical. Be sure to let youreslf rest a lot because your body will need it. You sure have a loyal following here of supportive freinds. We are all rooting for you.

Chloe I need to clarify Trevor's message to you (I think he's losing his memory) Those pj's he said he was born in that are so old and all creased and wrinkled, are actually his birthday suit! I think he's in denial if he thinks he's going to be able to change into something nicely ironed ..........lol
You all help to 'keep his end up'. Thanks everyone.
Love
Deborah

Gooday Trev, I think your doing everso well with the diary, I enjoy reading the postings. One recent one that perhaps struck a chord with me was the one about weight loss and how you are aiming for 6-8 weeks recouperation before starting to work. Fair play to you for setting these targets.

I am approaching 3 months after treatment, well next wednesday anyway. Yesterday eveninng I managed half a steak and kidney pie, washed down with some guinness, at my local the Rose and Crown. Delicious. All home cooked of course. Just frustrating tho how small your stomach seems to shrink, then theres the getting up in the night for a jimmy.

Going to the farm shop later today, buy some more pies, with extra gravy. Well what the heck, 2.50 a time, but at least I feel it will help me regain weight, after four months of Ensures.

Pleasure to meet you, learn of your journey.

Nigel

Deborah, Of course I was going to suggest Bill but am afraid the exchange rate is not such a good deal.

Trev, not far to go now, hang on in there is you can stay awake for long enough.
