Oh my dear Deborah, how absolutely awful for both of you.

Because of his nonmetabolising, does that mean that the meds won't work? maybe its just as well he is sleeping for so long. Don't know how things are done down under, but here you would be able to borrow equipment that would help you lift or maybe you could ask your McMillan nurse or whoever is the equivalent there to show you how to lift properly. If you do it correctly it is much easier and it won't aggrivate your back. Peta will be with you won't she?

The colourful language, I remember when I had the nuring home, we had one little old lady who had had a stroke, she had never been married and was a very strict methodist. Since her stoke, she made up rhyming limmericks using words you wouldn't imagine she had ever heard. It was unfortunate her assigned carer was a young man called Nick.

Wish I could be with you to give some help but needless to say willing everything to go as easily as possible with all my might.

Stay strong

Angie

angie ,the liver is like a giant filtration system,it just breaks down the toxins fom the meds .Trev will be getting the drugs as they absorb into the bloodstream and are passed round the body by the heart beating, the kidneys filter the crap broken down by the liver and pass it out through the urine. If the liver isn't working properly this process will be slower and toxeamia can develop, but i am sure he will be getting the narcotic and analgesic benefits from his meds, and they should be able to keep Trev comfortable
Debs thanks for taking the time to send the message yesterday, and like evryone else i wont pray but i will send evry vibe for your well being that i can muster my dear friend.

love to you and peta and the boys and of course my tricky old cobbler.

love and hugs

liz

If only our arms could reach around the world and give you all a big hug.

Words seem useless, but you all must know how you are in our thoughts at some point every single day.

Hello Trev and Deb's just got Paul bathed and settled for evening and he asked me how Trevor was, so thought I would check in and let you know we are thinking about him.

I know you are round the clock caring for Trev Deb's and don't have time for much of anything else at moment but just wanted to let you know you are in our thoughts .

Love ,

Bell and Paul . xx

Hello to all my good friends, comrades, all my friends who have been through this before. I hope that when your time comes that it passes much quicker than mine and is easier than mine.(that's it from Trevor)

Hello all
Things here are pretty awful. Poor Trevor wants nothing more than his time to be passed and is asking anyone who will listen to finish it for him. It's very upsetting but completely understandable. He had a dreadful night last night from his perspective although he has had worse. He's agitated and can't settle. He has nausea and anxiety meds through the pump however he's still having to take some diazepam.
He has had a gazillion well wishes and ALL of the kids have been able to spend time with him. Thank goodness the weather is fine and all the grandies have been able to play outside!!!
Thanks once again, and as always for your lovely thoughts and wishes it's been great amidst all this turmoil to know that you're all here. Thanks too for your cards and emails.
I'll catch up with you all when I can.
Love
Trev and Deborah
xx

Thanks Deb for taking the time during an exhausting emotional time to keep us informed. I sign on at least a dozen times or more every day just to see if there's anything new added to your thread or Paul and Bell's and am sure there are dozens of others who do the same.

Is there one of your kids or a family member or a good friend that you can entrust to keep us in the loop that won't take away from your time with Trev or your time to catch a little sleep? In instances like this, there are always a few who feel helpless that would feel useful having a small job like this.

My love to both of you and my hope for a painless transition into a deep sleep for the guy we learned to love, bad language and all. Ah, Deb....
