Trev, I'm so glad to see that you have such a good since of humor....this is the kind of thing that will get you through....May I ask you what stage your cancer was in. Linash

Thanks for the joke. Good fun. I actually did have a co-worker called Keith, but he was 6'4". Sorry to hear you're freezing. I had radiotherapy this time last year and spent weeks feeling absolutely freezing and lacking in energy. Used to start the day with a hot shower to warm me up and wear loads of layers. When I was really bad, I'd sit leaning against the radiator. Pleased to say that I'm feeling fine now and hope you will too soon. One more month and then I'm a year from treatment. Keep up the funnies. Chris

Hi Trev You have to remember what your last lot of r/t was like. Go back through all yours and Deborah's postings, like Bill, life was a long sleep and as my old granny used to say, sleep is the best cure for the body. You are doing so well Trev please keep up the good work, 'cause you will be in trouble with an awful lot of people on here otherwise. By the way, all members of the TIFC think your great too!

Hi! Gals, My Daughter took me to my 10th session and it went really quickly which was blessing except they had cjanged my appointment time to a late evening and so we were stuck with a lot of traffic(nothing I would imagine it would be in UK & USA but bad enough) I got there 30 early and went strieght in, 10 minutes later we were on our way again. I am starting to have pains in the back and this becomes quite uncomfortable as you spend most of your time(sitting time) squirming around trying to find a spot that eases the pain. I gave Deb the day of(well evening) so she could go out with her workmates which was good for both of us as being together day in and day out must be hard on Deb as I am a bit of a challenge. After trying Tramadol sleeping tablets I actually had a great nights sleep and managed to get about 9 hours sleep last night(fantastic). Angie, I do remember last year with my lethargy, but then I was sleeping alnight as well as most of the day, where now if I sleep during the day i find it hard to sleep at night(without pills) & Angie what is the TIFC??( I may be dumb BUT. Chris, Did you also feel the heat because when the days get too hot I am sitting in front of the cooler whilst everybody else still have their sweaters on?, My thyroid level is in the low section of the acceptable zone so I believe that is part of my problem. Linash, Over here the Doctors never talk about "Stages of Cabcer" well! I have never heard them talk about stages but will ask the Specialist when I see him next ( I think mine would be high as it is non removable or fixable and am hoping that the R/T & Chemo does the trick of reducing it to a size that gives me a better quality of life. Well thats it for Day 10 now I have a weekend with NO R/T (still have my little bottle of Chemo) so time to replenish the body and prepare myself for next week. Love Trev PS Two blonde girls were working for the city public works department. One would dig a hole and the other would follow behind her and fill the hole in. They worked up one side of the street, then down the other. Then they moved on to the next street, working furiously all day without rest - one girl digging a hole, the other girl filling it in again. An onlooker was amazed at their hard work, but couldn't understand what they were doing. So he asked the hole digger, 'I'm impressed by the effort you two are putting into your work, but I don't get it - why do you dig a hole, only to have your partner follow behind and fill it up again?' The hole digger wiped her brow and sighed, 'Well, I suppose it probably looks odd because we're normally a three-person team. But today the girl who plants the trees called in sick.'

Hi Trev I don't remember feeling overheated, but I did used to get night sweats during the treatment, so maybe that's similar. Re - Stages of cancer - if you look at any correspondence from doctors about yourself they generally include the Stage of the cancer in the heading e.g. T3, T2 etc. Hope you get a chance to rest over the weekend. Have you tried using a relaxation tape to help you sleep? It worked a few times for me. I was surprised to hear you call Tramadol sleeping tablets - when I was on them, I thought they were painkillers!! Do you cross off each day of treatment? I used to find it helped, knowing another one had passed. Best wishes to you both Chris

Hi! All, R/T 11 & 12 (18 to GO) Well 11 went by with out much ado and apart from the increase in fatigue and listlessness it seamed as if they weren't turning on the machine,BUT they are. However 12 was a bit of a killer, the pain in my back and my bellyache was doing me in, I saw the Specialist and he informed me that I was Stage M-0 T4 N-O? and there is no chance of removing the Cancer through Operation as it is fully inbedded in the Pancreas. The Doc had confirmed all the problems I am having with my back and stomach is caused by the R/T treatment. Chris, YES I did give you the wrong name of the sleeping pills I am taking No not Tramadol(DOOH) but Tamazapan Yeh! I can make mistakes. Angie, DOOH!

Hi Trev It's lunch time here so I thought I check to see how you are going. You must be as tough as an ox or I should say an old roo. The MO T4 NO stands for the following: MO - No distant metastasis T4 - Tumour bigger than 2 cm NO - No regional lymph node metastasis Keep on posting and of course posting the jokes. Regards Tony

Wow Trev, you're certainly zooming through those radiation treatments, though it probably doesn't seem like that to you. Do you have pretty nurses? I'm glad I'm not an idiot!! Sorry to hear about the problems you're having and hope that they're just temporary. Must go now - past my bedtime. Best wishes to you and Deb

Hi! All, Well R/T 13 came and went without much ado but I am Now having big problems with constipation(nice story) which is very uncomfortable, the R/T Specialist said that the opposite would occur so what is going on? Tony, Thankyou for explaining the "Stages" the Oncology Doc was saying that the stage system refers more to Head & Neck Cancer and doesn't really gets refered to Pancreatic Cancer But it was/is interesting to know how Good or Bad it is. a Joke for You. Sally phoned her Husband, Bill, at work for a chat. "I'm sorry dear " said Bill, "but I'm up to my neck in work today. I don't have time to chat." Sally replied, "But I've got some good news and some bad news for you dear." "OK, darling," said Bill, "but as I've got no time right now , just give me the good news." "OK," agreed Sally. "Well the air bags work!" Suedebottom, Yes it does seem like the treatments are flying then the next day you have to get back into the car for another 60 minutes or so and get there and have 10 minutes and your back on the road again, BUT who's complaining? moi. it's 1125am here and it's 255am in the UK, it always throws me when I am on line and Posting as there are people on line and it must be very early in the am, as always it's great to hear from you all keep it up. Love Trev

Great to hear your still in good spirits Trev! The constipation was a killer for me too!!!!! Thanks for sharing ;-) Love Chloex ***Keep the faith*** Grow old disgracefully ;-)

Try some prune juice Trev. Pour it into a pint glass and drink it in 3 or 4 goes throughout the day. Keep it covered with clingfilm. If its in the glass rather than the bottle somehow it gets drunk, even though a smaller glass may seem the initial best option.

Hi! All, Here we go again R/T 14 & 15. Notmuch different from previous treatments except the pains are getting worst and the ache in the stomach is almost a constant(14 treatments to go) and it is generally gurgling loadly a little disconcerting when in company. Had some time today with my lovelly Grandson Marley who makes life better as soon as you put eyes on him. I have 2 days off treatment and that is always a blessing. PaulineT, it's good to hear from you again, but Prunes and it's juice where a thing that I have detested since childhood so as this is the first time I have suffered from this delema I'll stick with "Movicol" it seems to help, but thanks for the advice. Chloe, I find it hard not to keep up the good spirits as I believe every one should be happy even when they are cursed with the big "C", because life goes on. Thanks all, TREV

Hi Trev I see you are on line again it lunch time here again. I can go one better than Pauline T for keeping the old "works" going I make up a broccoli, carrot and apple drink with a juicer every day at work. It look and taste like pond water its supposed to be good for you one of the side effects well I bet you can guess what I am going to say. You seem to have a bit of a trip each day to the hospital 60 minutes there and back, what's the weather like? Believe it of not its sunny here today which make a change. Have a good rest over the weekend, you have passed the 1/2 way mark so good for you, I hope the stomach settles down over the weekend. Take care Tony

It seems like everyone suffers from this at some time during their treatment. When Bill had the problem I bought some glycerine suppositories before we had a go with the high pressure washer, after a few days Bill said, Angie, for all the good these things are doing, I might as well stick em up my bum…..no really, they did the trick.
