Good grief - what a nightmare.

Pleased to hear he's on the mend again and coming home.

You are a star Debs. It's so difficult watching your loved one in pain, isn't it.

Hugs for you both.

Oh my gosh! Isn't there any peace at all for you and Trev?? I sure hope after this bout of craziness, that things will improve and you can both take a breather for awhile.

Trev, get better soon; Deb, you Rock!!!

Hopefully you both can get some much needed rest once Trev's home again!

Best to you both!!!!! Cricket

Hi All
Trevor came home today although he is soooooo shaky he can barely stand. I hope that's a hang over from the pain relief he was given on top of everything else he takes (and not some new drama). He was having IV Fentanyl and he was very sensitive to it ~ couldn't speak properly and was out to it generally. I'm pretty sure he had his last dose yesterday morning so it should surely be out of his system by now. If it isn't that that's affecting him, I don't know what it could be. He had to have assistance to move from one chair to another and even holding the walls, he was very, very unsteady. We'll see what tomorrow brings. He is also still very 'slurry' with his speech.
Before going to bed he asked me to check the post he had written but having read it I think I'll wait and see if he really wants to send it or do a new one (!). That will give him something to do tomorrow.
Take care everyone. As always, your comments are just lovely.
Love from uptown Willaston
Deborah & Trevor

Hi Deborah ,so glad Trev is home ,he is probably full of all sorts of heavy duty medication plus he has had a traumatic time of it, hospitals themselves can wear you out.Paul always says you never get a proper sleep and always disturbed with Bp's and temperature etc .

Tomorrow should be better Debs and he will feel less anxious now he is home with you .Thinking of you both try and rest up tonight. There is nothing better than your own wee bed.

Hi! All,
Once again I will try to Get this down as the last attempts where disasterists and I can'y get it down on screen. I am in a real doener and can't get myslf together .........

Well it's me again, now. Trevor is very distressed and couldn't continue with his post. He wants to be in touch with you all but can't get two thoughts together. I am of the opinion that he is overloaded with drugs. I can't think of one other thing that it could be.
He cannot talk properly because he says he is in a dream state constantly and when he goes to talk, what he wants to say is relevant to the dream, not reality. He also has to use a stick to walk and then has to have physical support to remain upright. This is upsetting him a great deal so he's very emotional to boot.
I spoke with our GP this arvo and he can also think of no reason other than a 'drug hangover'. From 2 am Sunday to Tuesday am, Trevor was having his usual pain meds (considerable) plus IV fentanyl. Add a general anaesthetic into that mix AND his sensitivity to narcotics and I'm pretty sure that's the issue. We see the dr on Saturday morning so I hope by then he is cleared and feeling more like himself. He is very afraid and sure the end is nigh.
Tonight I've not given him his Oxy and won't give him anything else unless he starts to have pain. We might have to fiddle to get back on top of it once this has cleared but the only way to get him through this is for him to detox, really. I checked with the hospital that I was making the right decision and feel comfortable with it.
So there you have the latest from uptown Willaston.
Love to you all. Keeping fighting the good fight.
Deborah for Trevor
PS I haven't had access to my computer for a few days (house guest in the wrong room) so to those I owe emails ~ sorry! I'll be in touch after the weekend when the next lot of interstate visitors will be gone. D

Dear Trev, Never mind you can't get it together right now, just go with the flow and have a nice long rest till everything has worn off. Just think, some people pay big bucks to be in the same state!

We are all thinking about you and looking forwards to getting our old Tricky back.

Hello Trev ,don't you be worrying all these drugs combined with an anaesthetic takes time to wear off .Paul is the same with an overload and he is also very sensitive to a high combination and gets unsteady and very emotional.Another couple of days and the fog will clear so try and sleep it all off .

We are all here for you so don't you be getting yourself depressed and fractious.

Deborah ,hope you are getting some time out with Trev to rest also and not having too many house guests ,nice as it may seem it is still extra fussing and I know when things here are a little out of sync it is nice to have the house to ourselves and freedom to just cuddle up and have private time .

All our love ,

Bell and Paul
