I just wanted to wish you all luck and give you all support for the forthcoming mouth cancer awareness week 2004. If you are involved in the week I know that it can be quite a tough and emotional journey. But that isnt going to stop me becoming involved and rasing lots of money and awareness. So good luck everyone and chin up! Smiler

Hi Clare, It's good to hear you too are doing your bit for MCA week. I have finally got a Christmas card printed with proceeds going to the cause. I am having a coffee morning next week with the local newspaper coming along to do an article and take a photograph. Another newspaper is doing an article next week and their photographer is coming tomorrow! """I'm a celebrity - get me out of here!!!!!"""

Would love to hear if anyone has other initiatives on the go? Cheers

Hi

(1) Our MacMillan nurse and one of our Wakefield patients have done another newspaper interview for this week's Wakefield Express.
(2) A patient and I will be doing a pre-recorded interview tomorrow afternoon for BBC Radio Leeds
(3) On Monday morning, I will be doing a live interview for BBC Radio York
(4) The Sentinel newspaper in Staffordshire will be doing an article on Sunday
(5) Activities are planned in Bradford, Wakefield and York during Mouth Cancer Awareness Week.

You can access posters/brochures to print off at the """MCAW2004 page""".
If any of you care to list here what you have planned and where, it will be put onto a special """MCAW Activities page""".
Best wishes

Hello

I have been contacted by a journalist from the Scunthorpe Telegraph wishes to talk to a person who has survived mouth cancer for an article to mark mouth cancer awareness week. She is looking for someone who lives in the North Lincolnshire area who will have a picture taken and discuss their experience with her.

Please email me at media@mouthcancerfoundation.org with your details if you can help. Thanks.

Best wishes
