I'm sure your sense of humour will return. This experience has taught me to laugh at myself and not take myself so seriously!
I'm afraid i'm still a Casualty fan, but i can't watch if there are any drips - chemo association & it makes me vomit!

It is not just Chemo, R/T, or anaesthetics that destroy brain cells but also all the other drugs you guys are taking, memory loss is not suprising. Good job we have a few million of them.

I found thast watching Time Team (an archealogogy program) was ideal as there was no story to follow. I recorded it very day, and I could watch about 20 minutes before I fell asleep, so I had to watch it in three sections.

The good news is that after 18 months I'm back at work, holding down a job that requires a lot of logical thought, although I'm still struggling to remember everybodies names (but I can probably get away with putting that down to age). Anyway I can really tell the difference, my mind has started functioning again.

P.S. I bought a book of Suduko puzzles to take into hospital when I had my tonsils out, I thought they would help to pass the time. That was fine until I started the cancer treatment. I wasn't prepared for how I would feel mentally after the radio & chemo, and it took me a year until I could logic puzzles again.

I did Sudoku until the nerve damage got a grip and i couldn't hold a pen. Still, it was a way iof cheating cuz my hand writing was so illegible i could have written anything!
I read LOADS of books too. & io got the brain acadamy for my nintendo ds. Again not any good cuz i can't hold the stick thingy!
It's just my poor attention span. I start to do jobs like the washing and then i wander off. Then i'm wondering why theres a pile of clothes on the kitchen floor! Or soapy water in the sink!

Chelle,

If you find using a computer easier than holding a pen, you can find lots of Sudoko puzzles on-line at
