Just having a moan really as feeling a bit low. I was due to start my chemoradio next Wed 10/11 having had mask fit and scheduling this week. Just got a phone call from St Thomas'Hospital to say they want to draw some more lines on my mask so can I go back next Tues 9/11 and my treatment is now delayed until the following Mon 15/11. You know what its like when you get focused on a day as start of treatment then its moved? Well I'm not very happy today. Still I'm sure there are some of you out there that feel a lot worse!

srp, you bet we all know. It is the pits!!!! I wish the people in the medical field would and could realize what these procedures do to a person. I mean these are scary and frightening things here. Yet they act as if it is nothing. I get so upset at this attitude they have. My CANCER doctor's office is this way. There are 4 young very pretty girls that work in the office. They are always laughing, talking 90 miles a minute. Singing. Very loud, some days it is refreshing to feel the youth and to see the, interact with each other. Yet other days I want to just scream. We are all sick, some dieing. Have some respect for us. PLEASE! I mean this is not a cold or a headache we have here. And then when it is something like what you have talked about, for them to just cancel your time slot, after all the talking, crying, worrying that you have done just to get yourself prepared for that day----BAMM---now you have to start all over again....No one can understand this unless you are in the eye of the tiger....WHICH IS WHERE WE ALL ARE....God Bless you,,,,Always Vicki LYnn

Sue, we have to stick together and hold on to each other, some of us, this is all we have. When you cannot talk very well or not at all, your world is so so small. You need all the support you can get...You bet I am here for all of you, because you are all here for me....Thank you to everyone for making me feel so needed, wanted, loved, cared about and special. We all want to feel this way.....Because we all are! Always Vicki Lynn

I think it is fairly normal for them to reassess the mask and the lines. They want to do the best job for you and get it right. It is precision work. They will still be fiddling with it much of the first week, so knowing they may do it up to 4 times may help you cope better. Have plenty of drinks with you.
