Hi! All,
Well how interesting? my right kidney was cooked during my last lot of Radio Therapy and is not working anymore so maybe I can sell that one as a kidney in an "Steak and Kidney Pie" sureley it would have to be worth something and the pain in that side of me couldn't be any worse Big Grin

Hi,
I am sorry I am butting in - I just could nor refrain myself. Coming from a third world country where all the call centres are based ( well most of them) - I feel if the people who work in those countries were capable enough the out sourcing would not be required.
Regarding the kidney selling thingy - its a fact here in India and thrid world countries and that why we have what is known as medical holidays and almost all those who come for treatment not only find it cheaper but even the hospital standards to world class. In a country where the needy over shadow the have alls -its just one way to earm a bit of money. Though I have my opinion about it - I imagine its a personal choice.

I may have posted this way out of context and if so I as usual apologise - but I honestly cannot take rubbish from people who feel the third world people are talking English in a manner you all dont understand. As I said this is way out of context - like my question on dentists- a question that was found stupid ignorant as I belong the the asian country group that most people do not understand. I really do not post much any more - but this was like brushing the other way around . If I am wrong - as I said I do apologise - however for all reasons stand by our countries and can say that the outsourcing is done from your countries as you all feel we are better qualified for the same and much cheaper and work harder.
Regards,
Ananth

Julia,

Ray and I were just kidding around! We can no longer donate blood so it's for darn sure we can't donate organs. My 'What can go wrong?" was just me attempting to be facetious.

As far as the kidney thefts go, remember that it was a hoax that was going around about ten years ago. Here's the snopes report:

You've Got to be Kidneying

It's against US law to sell organs; not just an individual state law.

I think I tend to agree. It just goes to show that we are not the multi-cultural society that the liberals would like to have us believe. It is all well and good for these people to speak English, it is just that they don't UNDERSTAND it.

As for outsourcing call centres to Asia, it is because the labour is cheap. As with everything else in life, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Hey Mimi

Well what do you know, we've rooted out the people who've had a successful sense of humour by-pass! What will our next rouse be??

Ok stop the bus everyone !!!!!!!! I think this is getting out of hand .First and fore most why are any of us here posting ? . We are all aware that many of the members here are from all over the world and have different beliefs and languages .A little light banter and a few jokes here and there is good for light relief but sometimes our sense of humour and feelings about things need to be thought through as the postings are not always on a one to one basis and can cause offence .

Many people on the forum are usually seriosusly unwell and on strong medication so personal thoughts and feelings can be more sensitive .This community is about pulling together and reaching out to others ,not causing upset and confrontation however well meant.I think the government and political parties wide world are making enough ripples and a pigs ear of it without us doing the same .

Lets all get back to the happy forum we usually are without being heavy on sensitive issues .Each and everyone of us are going through different and difficult stages in life and feelings run high on every level so just a little foresight in posting would go a long way.A good sense of humour is a wonderful thing and a gift but in certain situations needs to be tempered with understanding .

Love to all Bell. xx

What I understand is that this site is based in the UK. If I were posting from another country, I feel that I would be careful about rearing my head after a period of silence just to make a contentious posting. This is a British website with a British view point and sense of humour. If foreign persons find this hard to deal with , then find a site closer to your own locale. After all, people don't move to our country and try to impose their culture and beliefs on us...oh, hang on a minute...

The "people may be unwell" point is not valid. I will not be told what to say or think in my own country.

Hello All

Let me make this very clear to all who come here. This website is based in the United Kingdom but it is for everyone. No one is a foreigner here! Cancer and ill health have no international borders.

Let's treat each other , whatever the colour of our skins, ability with English (or not), ability, etc as brothers and sisters.

We are all not different, only our prejudices makes it appear so! Sigh

Best wishes
