Chelle,

So sorry you're having to go through all this again - it's simply horrible. Will be thinking about you on Tuesday and will light a candle for you at mass on Sunday. Take very good care of yourself over the next few days and let everyone who offers to help look after you.

Lots of love and prayers
Sue

PS When you're back on your feet (positive thinking here), I've got a very hairy daft Springer Spaniel who would love a pampering session!!

Dearest Michelle,

I am not really a betting man - but I would lay a bet of everything I own if the Mr. C has dared to come back. You are the lifeline of so many people and then you've got to stop eating Tesco Finest x-mas pudding & have it with cream oozing from it. I hope you've got over the poohing bit or else the pudding and pie are going to make a misery!!!

Though I come into the site at least once a day, I somehow find there is nothing I can really post but say Hi to all. I liked the snaps in the album and I think I squeezed in one of mine ( a black and white ). Most of my time is spent sitting with the banks, the lawyers and its the most boring life I am leading at the moment. The only exciting thing I did was buy a Coke and poured it down my stomach!! However, I do dress to kill and do get the glances Winkand especially now that I tie a cute ponytail. I know for certain if this had to be done eight years ago, I would have rather have jumped off the roof of my place as then I was an old classy guy and now I am a young, grossy guy.

Thats about it from this end for now - and as Arnie would say : "I'll be Back!!"

Lots of love to everyone and a big bear hug to accompany the love,
Ananth

Michelle, after all you have been through, a GA will be a walk in the park. I have had quite a few. There is no need to worry, you just go to sleep and literally, before you know it, you are back in bed. I would think if it is for a biopsy you wont be out for long, so wont have any of the side effects associated with long and deep sedation. The traceylee is, how long will you have to wait for the results? this really is the worst bit. Dr Simpson doesnt seem overly worried and as Susana says, she seems to be up front so I am sure there is nothing to worry about. If the concern for you shown by everyone on these postings could will the results to be totally negative you will be fine.
Come on everybody, lets give it a big

Hi Chelle,
when I had my neck section last year, I had to go back to the operating theatre for a second "bite at the cherry" after it was realised that I was bleeding rather heavily inside the neck. Thus I had a second GA about 12 hours after the first one. They stitched me up (again) and I came to in the recovery room only to be told that they needed to do some further embroidery inside as they were not satisfied that I wasn't still bleeding. This time they couldn't risk a general has I couldn't have three in 14 hours. I felt no pain, of course, because of the analgesics that I had been generously doped up with. As a result I was wheeled back into the theatre to have the last of the stitching done. They must have given me something to make me sleep as I was unaware of what was going on.

A little while later I became aware of a bright white light ahead of me. My immediate reaction was "oh bugger, this is it.... there IS a long corridor with a white light at the end of it."

Then I realised there were a number of people with green hats and masks looking down at me, as I looked up at them. "This is surreal" I said, and said it aloud! One or two of them said "you're right, this IS surreal" . Then I asked them "does anybody know any jokes?" I must have drifted off and I can't for the life of me remember the answer to that one.

The reason for saying this is that the GA need not be a scary beast. You are being monitored by the anaesthetist and by the surgical team not to mention the nursing staff, and as Hagg said you get a nice uninterrupted sleep.

I almost hesitate to say "enjoy" and if you do get here the in jokes that I missed, do share them ........

best regards

Robert WT
