Liz, I think you are being a bit touchy about this. I said in the second paragraph of my post that it does make it easy to stay in touch with friends over a distance. My wife and I have family in Ukraine and Canada and very good friends in Spain that my wife keeps in touch with through Facebook and Skype (also free).
My comments about 'get a life' were aimed at people who see each other in person all the time but still feel the need to write things like, for example, 'bob cant decide what to have for tea tonight'. It's my personal opinion only and as I said, I hope it doesn't upset but if it does, it's still my opinion. I like the forum which is why I stay here and try to encourage people with their own fights and struggles and if Vinod and the team make posting photos here easier then I'm of the opinion that if it aint broke, dont fix it. Hagg. 12 years and still kicking it. |

Children, Children, Children. I think we are going right off the thread here, this is about Elaine, not the pro's and con's of facebook.
. Elaine, I am sorry I missed your original posting, have been a bit tied up just recently. I love your humour and positive attitude, keep it up girl. We are all with you, even those who argue about face book. |

Hi,
Yes Winnie I think you're right I always get them mixed up.Everything is organised now.Paul booked the venue The Roman Way in Cannock,it's rather posh.Never mind I'll soon change that.I pick my dress up next week it had to be turned up,i'm only 5'1,and now a size 6.Us women spend most of our lives wishing we were slim (I was 14)but now to hear the assistant say your so lucky being so tiny it somehow doesn't seem so good.Mind you to stranger's I would not appear ill, even the Doctor's say how well I look and apart from having a wonky smile it's true,I look very well.So everything is in place we just have to turn up.We were hoping to go to Dartmouth for a few day's next week with my daughter but I don't want to go at the moment.I had an appointment at Derby yesterday and they think they can do something to help me talk again.I can't remember if I told you my voice had gone.Well they can either give me an injection or fit a little implant to hold my vocal chord's in potition.I shall go for the latter because should something go wrong they can easily remove it.It would be done under local so I would go straight home.So Dartmouth is on hold until I know when I can have that done. The week after though Paul has booked for us to get the fast cat from Weymouth to Gurnsey then on to St. Malo, for two nights and Jersey on the way back.A few of our friend's invited us out for a drink and gave us £400 to spend on our jaunt. So that was a wonderful surprise. I will let you know about the hospital.Love Elaine x p.s.I hope everyone is alright. |
