Hi,

I went for my 2nd check up at the hospital on Tuesday and was throughly examined (including the camera down my nose Frowner) and I AM CANCER FREE!

It is so great to hear those words Big Grin, of course I will continue to be checked monthly in the first year as that is when it is most likely to re-occur.

Managed to add to the things I am able to eat this week - chicken in a sauce, mash potato, mashed sweet potato, more pasta. Also did more "normal" stuff like going to the cinema, eating out and bowling. It is so good to be doing this stuff again as there are times during treatment I thought I would never have my life back. I have written off 2008 - but bring on 2009!!

Love to you all

Chloex

Hi Chloe, that's excellent news. Even though you might consider it early days I think you should consider yourself a cancer kicker from here on in Smiler. Really glad you're getting back to 'normal'. Hagg.

11 YEARS and still kicking it. Never give up the fight.

More good news,

Off on Scout camp tomorrow (please all pray for the rain to stop) and I am SO excited. I have gone from sleeping 9-10 hours a night to 6 as I always have troble sleeping the week before camp - BUT I FEEL NORMAL AGAIN - I'M BACK! Woke up at 4.44 this morning and had sorted out our clothes and tents by 7 am. Been snowed under paper maching 4 pinatas for camp (do you know how long they take???), tidying our scout hut, seeing friends and taking the kids out. It's been great after months of inactivity.

I have still got a job with a drop in wages and I am going back on the 1st September. This is just over 3 months after finishing my treatment. It will be part time and every other day at first building up to full days. I am a bit nervous about going back but my confidence will grow. I am going back to an admin job untill my voice is better.

Enjoy the week

Love Chloex

Once again Chloe well done you!!!! Smiler

It all sounds so good at your end. You will be fine going back to work, I felt the same as I had had so much time off but after the first five minutes it will feel like you've never been away, only that you are a different person from the one before, stronger and more confident!!

Great news, Chloe
Well done to you. You SOUND great and so you must feel terrific. It's amazing isn't it, how you can recover. Keep up the great work.
No matter how well you sound though, I must say I think you're a bit sick getting excited about going camping with all those children!!!! Roughing it for me is about 3 stars (which explains why we don't venture far from home!)
Hope you're having/have had a fabulous weekend.
Love
Deborah

Oh, Chloe!

What wonderful news. Welcome back to the world of the normal and frazzled. Funny how this kind of pressure is so much more pleasurable than the other.

You've handled this with such grace and humor and fortitude - you bring tears to my eyes.

Have a wonderful healthy life, Purple one.
