Hi All

Blitzbob raised the issue of Quality of life being more important than Quantity in her post. But how does one forecast a quality of life after treatment - what would you look for? Quality or Quantity? Perhaps the rest of the gang can chip in and say what they they would understand by quality of life and what they feel is important to them, and when they would opt for quantity.

Whilst I think my reply to Eileen had,perhaps, some relevance to your comments.

I would be greatly interested to hear your interpretations of "quality" and "quantity" in the context of the possible discussion.

No its not just you qualitis beling able to do the things other people do walk talk eat speak no discomfort smile laugh cry sing shout greet
Thats quality of life quantity well it speaks for itself not being able to do some of the things above and living 10 years as opposed to 5.

I know of two people who had oesphagus both were
terminal the one said no treatment went off to australia had a great time 6 months later he was dead
The opted ofr chemo lived 6 months same as other guy but bot did he suffer no quality of life which would you prefer I know what I would want
