I saw the consultant today for my son.An xray shows he has some matter ,It has taken up the spaces in his sinus cavity,as well as a large lump on his hard palate,I now have to wait for a ct scan,will this show up if its a cyst or tell if its cancer,And does anyone know what the usual waiting time for a ct scan is.any advice is most gratefull thankyou.

HI Shelia, after seeing my consultant I hac CT and MRI scans. I had to wait 7 days and had them all done at the same time. I don't know if this waiting timeis the same throughout the country. The waiting time will probably depend on the amount of scans that are on the list also the seriousness of your need.

Shelia, here in the states it only takes 3 days to get the results,,I don't know about how itis there. It is so long and difficult the wait,,I know but let them take as long as they need, for we all want the right report, no mistakes,,,or I sure do...God Bless You, Always,,Vicki
