If your mouth or throat pain becomes really intolerable from RT then try cocaine mouthwash. You will only get prescribed small amounts and you should use it sparingly, but its brilliant. Far better than any regular painkillers. | |||

The MASCC's Mucositis Study Group's report recommended patient-controlled analgesia with morphine as the treatment of choice for oral mucositis.
