Hello - I have just discovered this site. I had a routine dental appointment yesterday and have been referred to a dental hospital as the dentish found a white mark on the middle underside of my tongue. I am rather worried and after surfing the internet have made myself even worse. Any advice would be really appreciated.

maria, thank goodness your dentist discovered the white patch, it could be very minor or lifesaving, my dentist discovered my white patch 7 years ago i have had 6 biopsies in all and the last one diagnosed as cancer , try not to be too alarmed just very cautious, once you are in the system you will be looked at regularly for any changes, it can be a very anxious time but we are all here to support you take care bev x
