Good morning! Was hoping you would never hear me whine again, but.... I have another problem I hope somebody can help with. Seems the radiation did a number on my thyroid. I guess the correct number is supposed to be around 5, and my level was 70. I was really feeling well, though, only too sleepy and a little moody. So they put me on a medication(150mg)that made me feel terrible, and when the month was up, my level was .4. So no medication for a month, and I felt pretty good. But then the number was back up over 60, so the doc wanted to try 100mg, but after I told him how horrible I felt while taking the medication he decided on 75mg. That was 2 weeks ago, and boy do I feel rotton. No energy or gumption, painful muscles, throat, skin, and moody, too. (but not as weepy as I was) So yesterday and today I just took a half of a pill, and have a message in to the nurse to call me. They say it can take a while to work, and not to quit taking it, so I don't know how long to give it a chance to work.

Has anybody had this problem? I'm sorry to be whining again, but I was beginning to feel really great and able to do things, and now this. I want to clean house, garden, fish, hike, boat, volunteer at various places, and especially, go spend time with my grandbabies!

Should I go to a different doctor for this instead of the oncologist? My next appt is in 2 weeks for the next PET scan.

p.s. It's been about a year since this all began for me, and it still seems kind of surreal. Thank you all so much for all of your support and encouragement.
