As mentioned in my post earlier, I have created this post and am putting down the days that are special for me and the reasons for the same. Hope I will not be the only one.

The only one I want to put is 2007. My ten year anniversary of diagnosis. There is hope for most and I hope everyone on the site reaches this milestone.

Oh come on angie - think of all the great birthdays you did have and the good times that you enjoyed. Remember you are one in a million and that is enough to celebrate. You may not want to be reminded but it would be a shame if we could not wish you on your special days.

Ten years ! That is a long time but one can see that you are still in love with life as ever before and have accepted everything that has been thrown at you and have emerged a winner. I guess you can call it a new birth(year)day!

Thanks for those words Ananth. I hope that all those on the forum (and the future patients that end up here) get to a stage where they feel the same. There can be light at the end of the tunnel.

i want to thank you on not just mine but behalf of all our family out here. Just keep your chin up and your spirits soaring. You will be the inspiration to so many. Each one of us who have been through the ordeal have survived for a particular reason and have taken on pain and depressions for no fault of ours. I do not know if it as per what the Budhists say -that we are all Budhas born to take on all the pain of the world on our shoulders to make this world a better place to live in. The Hindus claim that we are reaching the end of our karmic cycle and washing away all our sins before our next birth. Whatever the circumstances - we are all here for a reason and imagine we will never know why. But as long as everyone mantains a positive attitude towards life and enjoys every moment of being alive- it is worthwhile to take on the pain as you have done for ten years. Please do not think I am saying this just to make you happy - I am not. I have been through a massive beating myself and now its seven years since I last ate a solid meal or had a drink of water orally. Yes, I feel low at times but then I pick myself up as I have taken everything that could be thrown at me in my stride and am no longer woried about tomorrow. I have learned to savor every moment of my life and in turn also help others who need help with their confidence. I am sure you could teach or counsel a number of people and am also sure you will be most welcomed to do so.
We are one big family and its such a great feeling that we can actually depend on each other to get us out of situations by lending a patient hearing and giving the best advise possible that we are capable of.
Welcome to the club and am sure your just being here will make a big difference to so many.

PS : there is no light at the end of the tunnel but its amazingly peaceful - trust me.

I know I am a pain in the butt - but I cannot call you Hagg. Do you think it will be possible to call you by your name? If so do let us know so that our relationship becomes even deeper then what it is. Once you have stepped into this site ( as the song goes..) you can never leave!

Dear Alan,
I had decided not to correct you but was feeling pretty uneasy by the way you have spelt my name!! Annath in hindi means an orphan!!! and Ananth mean the immortal. I am not serious about this at all but decided to teach you some words in Hindi!.
