Gawd bless ya Debora, and what an enchanting voice.

I have been told that I have the singing voice of a lark...a pil-lark!

Two days into the New Year and there have been a couple of positives. The bug that has laid me low seems to be on the way out and I have FINALLY received an appointment for a follow up check. Mind you, it will be almost seven months since my last one. Not bad considering they were supposed to be six weeks apart!

I'm none too sure what to do today. I guess that is what youget for being a grumpy old git who doesn't like people. I may go to an animal rescue centre and look at the poor pooches who need a home. Could you mail me a dingo please Deborah?

Ray

Happy Birthday Ray!

Glad to hear you are getting better.

We have had a quiet Christmas and New Year cheered by Alex's presence but are off to the GP to check on some new lumps and bumps that Chaz has identified. I am petrified, and just hope my worries prove unfounded.

Big snogs - have a great day,

Cath

Hi Ray
You're right of course ~ it is an enchanting voice and so much the better for reaching you in silence!
Sounds as though 2009 is going to be your year ~ two days in and two positive outcomes! It matters not about any hiccups preceeding these because they were LAST year. We are looking forward now.
I thought about the dingo request and was tempted for a second and then I thought 'No! Bugga you. Go out and find your own wild dog!' It's time you started getting out amongst the multitudes. Who knows you may even find a couple you like! It is, as we have discussed (or I have discussed for us) a positive year you are moving into........
Toodles

Cath

Please keep me posted about the "lumps and bumps". Don't stress about it just yet. When this bug first hit me, the first thing that hurt was my throat so you can imagine what raced through my mind! I just made myself a "wobbly" Complan and said bugger it!

Deborah

Thanks for your helpfulness with finding me a pet...not! Just for that, I am sending Rolf Harris back to you. I did try rounding up a wild dog here but her husband had a restraining order slapped on me! As for getting out and meeting people...brr, that idea is sending chills through me. I just want to win the lottery so I can buy a castle with a moat and drawbridge I can pull up. I think the old saying is right, "the more I know about people, the more I love my dog".

Tonights celebratory feast will be the only thing I actually enjoy, boil in the bag kippers, bread and butter and a nice mug of tea. Now that's how to celebrate a birthday!!

Ray (of sunshine...yeah right!)

Belated happy new year to you all from sunny Malta.

Happy New Year, Tony and Kathy
You've been gone so long I feared you had sailed off into the wild blue yonder.
I don't need to ask. I KNOW you've had a great holiday. Well done to you, I say.
Love
Deborah

Anyone who celebrates a birthday with boil in the bag kippers deserves a moat and drawbridge however I fear someone would put a latch on the outside whilst you were sleeping!
Why am I not surprised at the level of your gratitude in the pet finding department??????

That's the idea of the drawbridge...to stop people locking me in! I am building up my arsenal of boiling oil to pour on the hoi polloi ready for my big money win and move into the property even as we speak. Mind you, the neighbours aren't too keen on the pong!

The Jack The Rippers went down rather well but the crusty fresh bread needed the tea to help wash it down. It is now just before midnight and I am just about to have my first "drink" of the day, a nice chilly Murphy's. Mmmmmm!

Oh well...there goes another exiting birthday.

Ray

PS Deborah, I am familiar with a cricket bat (even if the English team aren't) but what exactly is a wombat? I've never heard of the game of wom
