Nearly two years after my treatment ended I can now drink Coca cola again. I was on a course in London and went to dinner there with my son, the restaurant didn't have any bottled water, so I tried a sip of my sons Coca cola and I was really delighted to discover that it tasted OK, and I didn't shudder when I drank it. I'll have to see what else I can eat or drink now. It would be nice to be able to drink a cup of coffee again. Most of my tastebuds came back, but until recently I still had problems with the taste buds at the back of the tongue which mainly pick up the sour tastes, and I couldn't eat or drink anything which was at all acidic. Maybe I'll be able to eat fruit again, I'll have to give it a go. It's amazing that my tastebuds are still improving. Jenni

Hi Jenni, Congratulations thats great as I think the thing that drives me nuts is not being able to have the simple things in life the things I used to take for granted. I tried a Brandy and Coke and had to ask Deb if I put enough Brandy in it as there was no taste at all only the sudden need to clean my teeth again. So go girl tell us what next treat you are having with taste, good onya Love Trev
