Hi Fran

I missed it. Was it on the radio? There was supposed to be something on BBC-TV1's local 'Look North' programme last Friday but it was rescheduled to I don't know when and I missed that too; I was supposed to be on it Smiler.

Yes, the message is slowly getting out about mouth cancer.

Best wishes
Vinod Coffee

Hi Vinod, no it was on BBC TV news but I didnt see at 6pm when it was suposed to be on again, isnt it annoying when they do that? Its such an important subject. I think we should be involving Richard & Judy!!

I wrote to Richard and Judy, but as a friend said Head and Neck cancers are not sexy; perhaps we should start a list of all the well known people who have had throat cancer, Jack Hawkins, some rock stars, John Diamond etc; all we get on the TV is food programmes, what about people who can't taste anything. Food for thought.

I believe Fred MacMurray had mouth cancer, survived it, and eventually died of something else.

Hi Ron, I looked up Macmurry and they said
he died of pneumonia in 1991 nothing about
mouth cancer.

Cat, I'm pretty good overall. Get a little tired but its because I do a lot.

I do work for Fred MacMurray's family, and when I told his daughter about my tonsillar cancer she said her dad had that too, except on his tongue, and that after treatment he always had to sip water. But he recovered from the mouth cancer and later died of something else.

No, I started working on the file after he had already died. I grew up watching him in My Three Sons, and at least two of his movies (Caine Mutiny and Double Indemnity) will live forever as classics.

Hi Ron, I agree with you on that one. My other
favorite actor is Kurt Russell and the young
man that played Moochie. That dates me doesn't it. Hope you are feeling okay? It's pooring
rain here.
