Hello friends Anthony (STB) here just getting back to you. It's been a while - a long patient while as I got over the radioterapy with not much to say that I hadn't already moaned and sulked about. Well as you promiosed - my internet chums - the taste buds are finally returning, a therabite has been promised thanks to the efforts of m GPs secretary and I had a biopsy today - my third this year! This one was lovely with anaesthetic administered up the nose - anone who has had it will know how much fun it can be. Oh how I laughed! (This is sarcasm by the way - lowes t form of wit but I am still under the influence of all the lovely drugs!)Hopefully it is nothing - just needed to be sure - my tooth has been hitting scar tissue and caused a nasty white hole - hopefully that is all it is!
I will be in pain tomorrow I have little doubt but at the moment I'm still high and a bit woozy - a bit like I should feel on New Years Eve but now probably won't! (We'll see!)Hope you have a great one! Party like it's ....er ....2010
Anyway now that I have brought you up to speed with where I amI wish you all a fantastic New Year - much better than this one -PLEASE GOD!
As always I hope I am in more pain than you are!
Tony

Hi Tony
So pleased to hear you are still moaning!
You do make me laugh. Thanks for that. Hope all goes well with the biopsy and I'm really glad you are getting your taste back. Funny, isn't it, how we have such wise ones on the forums!
Have a great New Year.
Onwards and upwards .........
Deborah
PS Sarcasm may well be the lowest form of wit but it does give me such a chuckle!

Hi, Tony,
Great to hear that your taste buds are finally returning just in time for New Year's parties. I expect that, pain or no pain, you'll be able to taste dome delicacies....
I hope everything will go well with the biopsy. I had one two weeks ago and the results were negative, so, the year is finishing quite well.
I wish you that 2010 will be better that 2009. And 2011, and 2012....

Shoshana

Hi Tony

Oooh, the anesthetic up the nose--that IS fun! All I needed was a scope, but still it was the high point of my day. My forehead was tingly and cold, and my top teeth felt all wobbly (I half expected them to fall out).

Got an infection in there now - just weathered the snow and ice to go get some anti-biotics from the GP who hadn't a clue what I was on about! It's all part of life's rich tapestry isn't it! He had to look up the last time I had an infection to know what to give me and guess what - it was also when I had a biposy. So two lots of anti-biotics and he took a swab to see what the infection was. Can eat now but don't feel like eating because of the infection and the fact I can barely open my mouth at all. Ho Ho Ho! It's not a great story or fascinating reading but I thought I'd let you all know. I'm having to take some time off work till it's healed. Does this never end? Not for me it seems but so long as the find nothing in the biopsy I will be happy and can laugh the rest of it off. Hope I am in more pain than you or yours - Tony
