Hi Guys.Over the last week i have been talking to charly on the telephone. She has asked me to tell you all, that unfortunately Nigel has sufferred a major recurrance for which he cannot be treated and he is being taken care of by the Palliative care services. He is at home in wales with his mother where he intends to stay and of course charly and tim are also with him.

Charly felt unable to write this post as she is understandably upset but wanted you all to know the situation and i know you will join me in wishing Nigel and his family our love and prayers

liz

I am gutted. I feel so sad. Last week I was showing my sister through the TIFC album giving her a run down on the members. While I was explaining Nigel's story I was picturing having a great time in Thailand ~ I thought he was still there and life was good.
It's all a bit much. I'm overwhelmed.

Ah, crap. I didn't think I'd be crying on this gorgeous springtime afternoon.

When Nigel went back to Thailand I remember thinking that he beat the beast and returned to something he loved.

I hope he's comfortable and has good pain management. He has a loving family that will take care of him.

My best to Charly, Nigel and the rest of the family.

God, how I hate this disease.

Hi! Nigel.
There isn't much to say at this time and nowing how you must feel makes me sad. I am sure though that your time together will be full of love and tenderness. I like MiMi hope the palliative care people do there best to keep you comfortable, and you should know that Deb and my thoughts are with you always.

Hi
Nigel doesn't seem to be going on his pc and charly wasn't sure whether to break this news or not,but she felt you would all want to know.she had attempted to write something herself ,but felt so upset everytime she tried to put it into words that she couldn,t,she says she will reply to your posts once i put the first one up.The new tumour is pressing on Nigels windpipe,so he is very short of breath and sleeping a lot

Oh my goodness, I really don't know what to say. I can't believe that Nigel was posting about diving Krabi only a couple of weeks ago. What a terrible shock this must be for Nigel, Charly and the rest of the family.

I feel very, very sad and my thoughts are and will continue to be with you in the coming weeks and days.

Cancer is such a cruel disease. There is nothing much one can say on hearing bad news but I am glad that Nigel had the chance to recover enough to enjoy a good holiday.
